Content Policy
Rereal is a place for interactive fiction. These rules apply to stories you publish, turns you write and anything the game master generates for you.
Never allowed, in any mode
- Sexual content involving minors, or characters who are not clearly adults.
- Content that promotes or instructs real-world violence, terrorism or self-harm.
- Harassment, threats or hate directed at real people or groups.
- Sexual or defamatory content about real, identifiable people.
- Instructions for weapons, drugs, malware or other illegal activity presented as usable guidance.
- Other people’s private information.
Content modes
Every account starts in safe mode. In safe mode the game master does not write explicit sexual scenes. If a turn requires one, the turn is not applied and you see a message explaining why; the story continues from where it was.
Adults can switch to the unrestricted mode in account settings after confirming they are 18 or older. That mode uses a different model and lifts the limit on explicit scenes between adult characters. The rules in the section above still apply.
Published stories
Stories in the public catalog must be suitable for safe mode: describe the world, not explicit material. Violence, horror and dark themes common to role-playing fiction are fine.
Enforcement
We can hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Language model providers apply their own safeguards as well, and a request can be declined by them.
Reporting
If you see a story or comment that breaks these rules, write to andrey@rereal.app with a link to it.
